It’s not you, it’s the system
A 4-week group programme for product leaders wrestling with imposter feelings.

Feeling like an imposter when I joined a startup in 2019
96% of product people report feeling like imposters.
That statistic shocked me when I saw it last year, as I was researching the prevalence of imposter feelings in Product people.
It’s a common experience, particularly when navigating career transitions like starting a new job, getting promoted or stepping into leadership for the first time.
If you’re feeling this way, it's not your fault. Product leadership is fundamentally structured to trigger these feelings.
You're caught between engineering, design, sales, leadership, and customers — expected to understand everything, influence without authority, and take responsibility for outcomes you can't fully control.
This programme is for you if:
You’re a product leader making a career transition (new role, promotion, stepping into leadership)
You recognise yourself in those beliefs listed above
You're tired of questioning your competence despite evidence you're doing well
You want a structured framework, not just 'confidence tips'
You're ready to examine what you really believe about your capability
I’ve designed this programme based on my research to give you a framework and practical tools that you can use every time those pesky imposter feelings resurface.
The programme
All sessions will take place on Zoom from 1pm to 2.30pm GMT/BST. No session on 3 April due to Easter.
Week 1: Friday 27 March 2026
Map Your beliefs
Identify the specific beliefs driving your imposter feelings and what triggers them in your day-to-day work.
Week 2: Friday 10 April 2026
Challenge Your beliefs
Examine the evidence. Are these beliefs actually true, or are you taking personal responsibility for systemic issues?
Week 3: Friday 17 April 2026
Replace Your beliefs
Design new beliefs based on reality, not fear. Identify what scaffolds need to change to support these new beliefs.
Week 4: Friday 24 April 2026
Sustain Your Beliefs
Strengthen the new scaffolds. Build a practice that lasts beyond these four weeks — and that you can return to again in future.
