Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you’re stepping into bigger leadership scope — managing larger teams, influencing more senior stakeholders, or preparing for your next career move — coaching is a great fit. It’s designed to help you build confidence, clarity, and credibility as you grow into the leader you want to be.
-
Results look different for each client, but the common thread is confidence, clarity, and recognition. Many step into promotions or bigger leadership roles within 6–12 months — in tech, that often comes with a £10–20k salary increase. Others use coaching to successfully lead high-stakes projects, build visibility with senior stakeholders, or feel recognised as the credible leader they already are. The real ROI is knowing you can accelerate your career, increase your earning power, and lead without burning out.
-
I combine coaching and mentoring to create a person-centred learning experience for each client.
With coaching, I ask powerful questions that help you uncover your own answers and build confidence in your leadership.
With mentoring, I’ll share frameworks, insights, and advice from my own experience as a senior leader and hiring manager.
Most clients find the blend of the two is what accelerates their growth the fastest.
-
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain at times — coaching can feel stretching. If at any point it feels like it isn’t working for you, I encourage you to let me know straight away. My priority is always what’s best for my clients, and we’ll explore together whether adjusting our approach or ending the engagement is the right step.
If you’ve self-funded, any unused sessions will be refunded. If your company has funded your coaching, we’ll discuss with them how to bring the engagement to a close.

Coaching is an unregulated industry, and I believe clients deserve better than unqualified advice. I hold accreditations as a Personal Performance Coach and Certified Career Coach, and I’m a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the International Coaching Federation. I also have regular supervision to ensure my practice meets the highest professional and ethical standards.
Alongside my coaching credentials, I bring over a decade of leadership experience in tech. I’ve also led teams in sports as a women’s rugby coach, and in extreme environments as an analogue astronaut, which gives me a unique perspective on leadership under pressure. I hold a first-class degree in psychology, with a focus on social cognitive psychology. My thesis was an experiment exploring the interaction between gender and type of feedback on task performance by UK tech workers.
Clients value this combination of psychology, leadership, and lived experience — it means our coaching is grounded in both evidence and reality.

Psychological safety is vital during coaching. To enable that, everything you tell me is treated confidentially. This means that I do not share details of your coaching sessions with others, including but not limited to your partner, friends and family, your manager, or your company. It is your choice if you wish to share details of your coaching sessions with other people.
As a member of the International Coaching Federation I am bound to follow their Code of Ethics. This outlines that there are very limited exceptional circumstances where confidentiality may be broken, such as where I believe you are at risk of harm to yourself or others.
